This is the official manual for the Darts Delay Cam (DDC). This page explains the app’s features and how to use them.

1. Permissions

To use this app, the following device permissions are required. Please allow them in the dialogue box that appears upon the first launch.

Camera: Used to record video of your form.
Microphone: Used to detect the sound of the dart hitting the board (impact sound).
Photo Library (Optional): Required when saving recorded replay videos to your device.

The main menu is displayed when you launch the app. You can select the following options:

Form Mirror: The main feature. Detects the impact sound and automatically replays your form.
Count Test: Adjusts and tests the impact sound detection sensitivity.
Language: Changes the app’s display language.

Optimises the impact sound detection sensitivity according to your environment.

Select “Count Test” from the main menu.
Use the “−” and “＋” buttons to set the sensitivity level (1 to 10). A higher number responds to quieter sounds.
Actually throw a dart.
When the impact sound is correctly detected, “Detected” is displayed on the screen, and the meter flashes red.
Once you have determined a stable detection level, tap the “Use Level X” button to apply the setting.

This screen displays the camera view and waits to detect an impact sound.

Rotate: Rotates the camera view by 90 degrees.
Mirror: Flips the camera view horizontally (mirror display).
Front / Rear: Switches between the front and rear cameras.
Loop: Toggles loop (repeat playback) on/off during video replay.
Grid: Displays grid lines on the screen (toggles in the order of Hidden → 3×3 → 5×5).
Sensitivity Level (Number): Allows you to instantly change the impact sound detection sensitivity using the “−” and “＋” buttons.
Settings: Opens the count interval settings menu (see “6. Settings” for details).
EXIT: Returns to the main menu.

Throw Status (Green Dots): A dot lights up each time an impact sound is detected. When three dots light up, the app automatically transitions to the replay screen.
Reset: Resets the current count (lit dots) to zero. Use this if a false detection occurs.
Audio Meter: Visually displays the volume (dB) picked up by the microphone. The threshold for the set sensitivity level is shown as a white line.

After detecting three impacts, the throwing scene automatically plays back.

Rotate / Mirror: Rotates or flips the replay video (these settings are saved independently from the monitoring screen settings).
Save: Saves the currently playing replay video to your device’s photo library.
Playback Speed: Tapping the “1x” button changes the playback speed in the order of 1.0x → 0.5x → 0.25x.
Grid: Displays grid lines on the screen (toggles in the order of Hidden → 3×3 → 5×5).
Seek Bar (Bottom of Screen): Tap anywhere on the screen to display playback controls. You can use the seek bar to move to any playback position.
Skip (Bottom Right): Ends the replay playback and immediately returns to the monitoring screen (waiting for the next throw). *Note: If Loop is off, it will automatically return to the monitoring screen after playback finishes.

You can make the following adjustments from “Settings” on the monitoring screen.

Count Interval: Sets the cooldown time (0.5s to 5.0s) between detecting an impact and accepting the next detection. If the app falsely detects sounds like a dart bouncing out and hitting the floor, increase this value.

Operating Environment: This app relies on audio input (impact sounds) from the microphone. False detections may occur due to environmental noises such as footsteps, talking, or doors opening/closing. It is designed to be used in a quiet environment.
Auto-Sleep: The device’s auto-sleep feature is disabled while the app is running. Please be aware of battery consumption.
